NRSC (ISRO), Hyderabad invites online applications for 48 temporary research positions — Research Scientist, Project Associate-I & II, Project Scientist-I & B and Junior Research Fellow. Online registration is open from 01.08.2026 to 21.08.2026 and selection is through screening followed by interview.

Application fee of ₹250 per application is paid online through the BHARATKOSH payment gateway. Cash, cheque, draft, money order or IPO are not accepted. The fee is refunded to all Women, SC/ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates subject to meeting eligibility and participating in the selection process; refund is credited to the bank account given in the application. Service charges levied by the payment platform are borne by the applicant. The last date for submission of the application is also the last date for fee payment.

- Register online and note the online Registration Number; furnish correct e-mail ID and mobile number
- Fill in all details in the application form carefully (no rounding of percentage/CGPA; enter to 2 decimals)
- Upload scanned photograph (.jpg/.jpeg, max 40 KB, 110x140px), signature (.jpg/.jpeg, max 20 KB, 200x50px), all essential qualification certificates, SSC/Xth (DOB proof), Intermediate/Diploma, graduation and post-graduation certificates with mark sheets, GATE/NET proof (post codes JRF30-JRF35) and SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen certificate for fee refund
- Pay the application fee of ₹250 through the BHARATKOSH payment gateway and download the e-acknowledgement
- Login again to the e-recruitment portal for final submission of the application
- Download the personalised registration confirmation form containing name, registration number, advertisement number and post code
- Submit a separate application for each post if applying for more than one position

How will candidates be selected?
NRSC screens/shortlists applications based on eligibility criteria and calls only shortlisted candidates for an interview before the Selection Committee; call letters are sent by e-mail only.
What is the age limit?
As on 21.08.2026 — 28 years for JRF and RS (M.Sc based), 30 years for RS (M.Tech based) and 35 years for PA-I, PA-II, PS-I and PS-B, with relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST, plus relaxation for Ex-Servicemen and PwBD as per Government of India orders.
What is the tenure of these positions?
The posts are purely temporary for one year (subject to project validity), extendable based on periodic performance review or co-terminus with the project — up to a maximum of five years for JRF and RS. They carry no claim to regular appointment in NRSC/ISRO/DOS.
